This conference was organized by UMR ASTRE, AITVM and STVM ( https://umr-astre.cirad.fr/actualites/2024/3eme-conference-aitvm-stvm-2024-a-montpellier ).

Entitled "Tropical Veterinary Medicine in Challenging Times: How Should Academic and Research Programs Adapt?", this conference brought together recognized experts in the field of tropical veterinary medicine, as well as young researchers and students, thereby strengthening collaborations and inspire new approaches to respond to global challenges. The conference addressed numerous research themes, from the molecular analysis of parasitic factors to the inclusion of stakeholders, notably breeders, in the co-construction of solutions in animal health and One Health, without forgetting the role of women in breeding and veterinary medicine.
